Orientation for All New Students
Date: Saturday, October 25, 2008
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Location: 1100 Social Sciences and Humanities Building
There is no cost to attend Winter Orientation. You are asked to RSVP your attendance to orientation@ucdavis.edu by October 17th to reserve a space.
If you were admitted for Winter 2009, come and learn about campus resources and departmental services. New students will learn the tasks they should accomplish for starting school at UC Davis, including registration. Be aware that you will not register at Orientation, however you will be able to select your courses for your first quarter.

Driving Directions
Driving east on Interstate 80 from the San Francisco Bay Area or driving west on I-80 from Sacramento, take Highway 113 North towards Woodland. Then exit Russell Blvd. Turn right off the exit and follow Russell Blvd. The campus will be on your right side. Turn right on Howard Way. Parking is available in the North Entry Parking Structure. There is no parking permit required on weekends.
Winter Orientation begins at 1100 Social Sciences. The entrance to the lecture hall faces the UCD Bookstore and ATM machines in the Memorial Union. Look for signs or balloons leading to Orientation.

Campus Resources for Students
Registrar's Office - get your student ID card in 12 Mrak Hall once you arrive on-campus
Off-Campus Housing - if you plan to live off-campus, review information on the Admissions web site; transfer students can find roommates or available housing using the UCD Transfer Student Housing Facebook page
UC Davis Bookstore - print our your class schedule, then head to the bottom level of the Bookstore (located in the Memorial Union); classes are listed alphabetically and you can ask for help if needed; locate store hours on their web site
